Web 2.0 Tool SlideShare

SlideShare is a web site that allows you to post your PowerPoint presentations. They can then be easily shared with friends and family without the need for the PowerPoint application. This is a great site to facilitate students posting their work at home and using it to present their presentation to the class.

It is the world's largest community for sharing presentations on the web. You can:
  • upload your presentations (ppt, pdf, pps, pot, odp, keynote) and share with others
  • find/download interesting presentations
  • embed them into blogs or websites
  • create a slidecast by linking your slides with audio
And it's completely free.

Example of embedding a powerpoint from slideshare in this blog. On SlideShare I allowed embedding and then when I viewed my presentation I copy the embedding code to this blog using the Edit Html tab.
