Web 2.0 Tools EVOCA
Evoca another new Web 2.0 tool that allows you to record your voice either by using your built-in mic or your phone. This feature is especially good for students who say they don't have a microphone at home.
The recording will be hosted by EVOCA or you can download it. If you leave it on EVOCA you can then embed code on your blog or wiki and the recording will play . You can record up to 15 mins of recording for free.

Web 2.0 Tool SlideShare
SlideShare is a web site that allows you to post your PowerPoint presentations. They can then be easily shared with friends and family without the need for the PowerPoint application. This is a great site to facilitate students posting their work at home and using it to present their presentation to the class.
It is the world's largest community for sharing presentations on the web. You can:

Example of embedding a powerpoint from slideshare in this blog. On SlideShare I allowed embedding and then when I viewed my presentation I copy the embedding code to this blog using the Edit Html tab.

Web 2.0 Tools
What is the difference between the web you've been use to (web 1.0) and the new web (web 2.0). The bottom line is that now the web is a 'platform' as opposed to the 'medium' it once was. We used to do our work on our desktop computers and then use the web to send it to someone or to post it as a personal web page. Now we do our work ON the web. The platform changed from our desktop computer to the web.
Even more important is that Web 2.0 allows users to create, share, and collaborate.
Watch as we examine several such sites in this presentation.

The Ease of Posting
Today was an extraordinary day. The weather for January was also extraordinary. The temperature nose dived from 63 to 30 in 12 hours accompanied by high winds and rain. Because of the weather my work day also was extraordinary.
With no electricity at school I ended up coming home to work on my Interactive Classroom presentation.
Hopfully the Interactive Classroom will help teachers use the web to support their integration efforts.
